Feeling nostalgic? Add any of these to the basic mix. But don't be surprised if you start looking for that old box of paper dolls while the cookies are baking.:
- semi-sweet chocolate chips (1/4 cup)
- toasted walnut or pecan pieces (1/4 cup)
- a little grated orange zest (about a teaspoon)
- sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom) (1/4 teaspoon)
